Camp Green Meadows is located in Fish Camp, California at about 5,000 feet elevation. We are only 20 minutes away from the city of Oakhurst and two miles outside of Yosemite National Park. The town of Fish Camp has a US Post Office, Fire and Emergency Response services, and a General Store. The camp is surrounded by the beautiful Sierra National Forest and an extensive network of trails and backcountry roads travel out from Green Meadows. In addition, Green Meadows is bordered by “Big Creek” which provides unique opportunities to explore and learn about different ecosystems.
The camp facilities themselves consist of two villages of residential cabins, the dining hall, the nurse’s station, the nature center classroom/conference room, and the campfire amphitheater. The separate cabin villages are located on opposite ends of the camp, and for our school year programs boys sleep in one village while girls sleep in the other; students are only allowed to go in the village that they sleep in. The central area of Green Meadows is paved and level, efficiently laid out, and accessible to people with disabilities. There is a parking area close to the center of camp and there are sidewalks leading up to the entrance of each building.
